The box was constucted from a 1.44mm thick sheet of
aluminium. Six panels were cut from the sheet in the following sizes :-
200 x 108 (x2)
200 x 22 (x2)
105 x 22 (x2)
The two side panels had holes punched out to allow for the connectors and the top panel had holes punched to allow for the LEDs. To construct the box from the panels, four corner posts were cut from an aluminium rod and tapped. Each of the panels were then screwed to these corner posts.
The PCB was attatched to the bottom panel of the box with
plastic screws and spacers.
