1st ATLAS UK Physics Meeting

The first ATLAS UK Physics meeting was be held at Birmingham on Wednesday23rd July 1997.

Introduction - Steve Lloyd

Steve gave a brief introduction to the background to these meetings andthe rather ill-defined relationship between physics, detector performanceand software development in UK ATLAS. He also presented a summary of therepliesto his questionnaire.

ATLAS Software in the UK - John Baines (presented by Steve Fisher)

Steve Fisher presented John's slides describing the ATLAS software currentlyavailable in the UK.

Ian described the Monte Carlo generators currently available for ATLASphysics simulations.

Simon gave a brief overview of the ATLAS trigger/DAQ system and a shortpresentation of part of the LVL2 trigger section in the ID TDR.
