ATLAS Si Sensor Testing Activities
-
Introduction
The ATLAS group at Sheffield is participating in radiation hard
Si-strip detector R&D studies for the SuperLHC. The technology
under testing after varying levels of irradiation is a p-type
detector (short strips). An introduction and first results on
these sensor studies are given
here.

Cool box design at Sheffield
It is essential for detector testing in different laboratories, to
use the same cooling technology/design/specs. The Sheffield group is
designing a prototype cool-box for this purpose.
